You Asked For A Christmas Poem
I don't write poems about Christmas
Not because I don't like it
Just because it’s not fair
I do like some poems about Christmas
They can warm your soul
From the frigid December air
Rather I write poems about the people I love
Though they don't always hear them
I think they’re fully aware
These poems aren’t so fragile
They don't come around once a year
So as to never give their subjects a scare
I write poems from my heart
My soul
When its there
I don't mean that I lose it
It doesn’t hide away
I just don't always wear it, I’m afraid it might tare
Really I do love Christmas, really, I do care
