A Short Break
Look out the window, watching the falling snow,
Behind these restraints and despair, I feel so old.
Why can’t these worries disappear?
And why can’t I be a child who doesn’t know fear?
I can’t let my mind let go,
There’s no room for my heart to take hold.
All I see are deadlines and dates,
Keeping me at this desk where I’m chained.
But I guess I’ll get back to studying I’ll soon forget
And let these beautiful winter days slip away with regret.
