Forgotten Me
Somewhere across the gloom,
Lies a place I used to be,
So long forgotten,
Barely seeping through my memory,
A thread holds me taunt,
To its bitter sweet gates,
Never can I go back,
But the thought never leaves,
Somewhere across that gloom,
Down the sea's shores,
Lays a place I used to be,
A sweet time of revere,
Shades of me are there,
Left behind for another day,
Parts of me long gone,
That are never recalled,
Somewhere across the gloom,
A thread snaps in two,
Now forgotten,
Its bitter sweet gates close.
