A letter to a friend.
My Dear Friend,
Don't tell me you're not injured,
Don't tell me you're not scarred,
I can see the way you hide behind
Your smile, it's your gaurd.
Don't tell me you're not scared,
Don't tell me you're not broken,
The pain's so clear within your eyes
Despite the words unspoken.
It's a burden you must carry
On your back throughout the day,
I know you wish for bluer skies,
Not washed-out shades of gray.
So let me help you bear it,
Silent sorrow breaks my heart,
Take my hand, I'll give you strength
To help you finish all you'll start.
All My Love,
Always and forever,
A friend
