Suicide
Sitting in a room
A room full of darkness
Holding the cold metal
Against my wrist
Wondering if anybody
Would miss me.
I start pressing
The knife to my skin,
Thump, thump
Footsteps coming
Toward me,
The door opens,
Flooding in light.
There in the
Doorway was a boy,
He saw the knife
And said,"Don't."
I said it was too
Late.
Blood stream down
My arm now as the
Knife went deeper
And farther as
More blood came.
The blood so red,
My blood,
Everywhere,
On everything.
I dropped the knife
Clank,
It hit the stone floor,
Just a few seconds
Darkness closed in on me
That was how I knew,
Knew I was dead.
