Let God Be The Way
I don't know which way to turn
I don't know which way to go
I get down on my knees and time starts to slow
I talk to him, for he seems to be my only friend
Times are hard
Times are rough
But he tells me I'm tough
I feel a tear slide smoothly down my cheek
But he wipes it away and whispers "It's okay to be weak"
I cough back more tears and choke back the words for they become to hard to say
But he says with a thunderous roar "I am the way"
I read his word
I breathe his air
And if I feel alone I know he is there
He is my shelter
He is my wool sweater
And he even helps me in my darkest weather
Let God be the way
When you don't know what to say
Let him take the wheel
Let him be your guide
Don't give up
Don't give in
For he will be there when you need a friend
