Trapped

I fake a smile a laugh everyday,
I hide my pain and sorrow for
the longest time,
I try not to cry
when I love into those eyes,
your entrancing me,
I can not get out of this grasp,
Walls around me keep me confined,
This darkness over powers me inviting me in,
I am in caged in internal darkness as I
am lowered into the ground,
I chose to end this torture and
just move on,
You know longer care;
nor do I
I can not prove my friendship to
a stone that no longer speaks,
So, I will now free myself from the pain,
and maybe you'll need me
someday,
But until then... I will
be trapped in this frozen encasement...
till I n longer breathe shallow breaths;
until I can no longer beat my wounded, beaten heart,
I will remain
Trapped.

What darkness? Why is your heart wounded and beaten? Why are you lowered to the ground? How can you be friends with a stone? Is it a pet rock maybe? What torture, pain, or sorrow? I can't relate to it, except maybe the pet rock part because my pet rock's name is Matilda!
