When life,
My problems to encumber
I find myself
Unable to slumber
The harder I try
The more it evades me
No matter how tightly closed
My eyes may be
I try warm milk
And other remedies
No snack will work
Not even toast and cheese
My desperation
Only makes it worse
It's these sleepless nights
I'll always curse
