Delivering Blue Devils
Across the street,
It sees opportunity.
Though it has succumbed to its death,
Knowing its walking to danger,
It passes the trucks, and cars,
Ready to give up its hurricane heart.
A black shadow,
With dark whispers, and darker thoughts.
Sweeping the hidden dust,
And drifting the evanescent clouds.
Eyes non-existent.
But dancing away to the sound of tears.
Moving away.
Closer to the sound of a smile.
Through a street,
Of crazed car wrecks,
Of icy roads,
Of heated concrete.
It passes,
For the one smile it has come to yearn.
This visitor,
Dark and lonely,
At your service,
In every smile.
