Stay, Please

She kept those feelings inside so no one would see.
No one will ever know the pain she felt that night.
All she wanted was to fly with angels and be free.
Fight or flight. She took flight.
They will never know her or see her-for she is forever gone.
Sobs and screams will be heard over and over again, night and day.
For her fate was already drawn.
Some will want to know why she wouldn’t stay.
