Confusion in Darkness
As coldness falls amongst the ground
I tell myself not to make a sound.
As the day gets colder the darkness falls,
Nothing gets clearer in spite of it all.
My dreadful thoughts of loosing my friend.
Subsided in me and in the end.
You were the one who lost me.
Your devious ways were not seen up front.
My mind’s integrity has been challenged and,
To break down now would cause an imbalance.
The balance however would give you a power that
I would not want.
Still I believe that maybe it was all just make believe.
That you just wanted to put up a front
In my mind I know it was you.
It was you that let this darkness arise.
I trusted you with everything and
The incontrovertible things you did
Just make it worse.
I considered you a best friend,
And you allowed animosity to disperse.
So in this confusion I wonder what you see in all of this.
Because this darkened cloud that surrounds is not filled with bliss..
