Eternal Sonnet
We are part of the vast eternities ,
We are brave voyagers on the endless
Though are lives may indeed have boundaries,
And even though the might of strong Atlas,
Firm upon the earth, is not even ceaseless,
We live in our little alcove of time ,
And we cherish this heroic briefness
We will not forever be in sweet prime,
Like the tern won’t forever search warm clime,
But at least time guides the tern’s migration,
Just as time flows through us, wholly sublime
Matter passed man to creature, time’s tradesman,
Who shares existence ‘pon mortal islet,
And knows wondrous life, our greatest secret
