DayDreams
I dream of the day,
When we don’t hate,
Because of the color of our skin,
Or gender, who we love,
Or what we believe in.
I dream of the day,
When hearts aren’t broken,
And tears aren’t shed
And words that hurt other
Just are not said.
I dream of the day,
When everyone,
Can walk the halls,
Without taunting and teasing
Like no one has any feelings at all.
I dream of the day
When we don’t judge others
And we drop all preconceived notions
And we truly accept everyone
Instead of just going through the motions.
I dream of the day,
When we dare,
To do what has never been done,
And we for once in history,
Love…everyone.
