My heart grows with the effort to contain this,
Overwhelmed with the need to hide it...

Mistaken for the strength to overcome,
Assuming I was able to just go on.

Every bone has broken under the weight,
Unable to hold under pressure, I cant wait.

My tears fall through the casing,
I have tried forgetting, tried erasing.

Nothing works so well on pain,
As standing outside in this rain,

Watching clouds that watch over the town,
The town that doesn't know I'm hitting the ground.

Falling too far from the warmth I once knew..
I was shot with an arrow that shot me straight through,

the poison seeped in and took over my soul,
Leaving me bleeding, needing to be whole.

I lie on the pavement exposed and alone,
I'll die, still in love, and forever unknown.

I'll fade to the background in such a rush,
the world will go on without so much as a hush.

No one will notice that I have died,
Just as no one can see the tears I have cried...

I couldn't convey the truth to the lies...
So the silence will curse me, with minimized cries...

I'll lay still on the pavement... rain pouring down...
