Heart Holer
“Can I stay at your house tonight?”
That homeless time in the summer night
So scared about where I was to stay
At first I thought it was just a play
My mother yelling “Leave now.”
All I could think was okay you fat cow
Why she kicked me out
With nothing but more than a shout
Amazed me so I left the house
Walking around the neighborhood silent as a mouse
Calling everyone I could for a place to stay
Most of the answers were just stay away
I made my place under a slide
I figured it would be a good place to hide
My phone made a sound
I hope no one could hear it around
My caring friend calling
He did no stalling
Came to my rescue in the middle of the dark
And now forever has a special place in my heart
