To know the unknown
To understand
~A simple touch
What am I to you?
What is it you would say?
If I took your hand
held it as mine.
Fingertips and
Fingerprints
A heart, a mind,
…a soul?
Time passes,
I wait along.
I say that’s all
I ever want.
I lie.
The hand that’s yours
So close to mine;
I’m still alone,
Still scared.
To be touched
It’s all I ask
But the choice
Is not mine.
To take your hand
To know your heartbeat
To feel your sweat
All I ask.
To be touched
To know the unknown
To understand!
…A simple touch…
