This Is Me
I'm a person,
Can't you see?
There are things tightly wrapped inside of me,
A heart that pumps emotions to my brain,
Such a game I would not play in vain,
And lungs that deflate when I speak,
Yet otherwise seem so utterly meek,
Don't forget my muscles-
More closely clumped than fossils,
A stomach filled with yesterday’s meal,
And many things that should always heal,
So when you look,
And when you peer,
Don't ever dare you think I'm queer,
For everything on the outside that you see,
Is nothing like the inside of me!
