The Midnight Poem
Once these things were the least of your worries
Your heart’s compass is sending you in too many directions
You wish the answer was crystal clear
If some people are not talking
and ignoring you, sometimes that’s just the way it goes
Being angry at the world is relieving for a second,
But nobody wants to be stuck at the bottom forever
When the bad times come, remember how lucky you are
Look for the good, search all venues
In talking, writing, being, breathing, trying,
learning, venting, smiling,
living
you will work it out
