The Holocaust
The world has died,
And been reborn,
We mourn the dead,
Mercilessly killed,
Separated from families,
Housed like cattle,
Because of fear and hate.
The iron gates,
Tell a lie.
They serve to imprison,
Not to free.
Millions murdered,
Stripped of dignity and freedom,
Branded then slaughtered,
Like cattle.
Helplessness, pain, fear; the only things that let us know,
We’re human.
Hoping for hope,
Fearing the morn,
Because of fear and hate.
Some say it never happened,
But how can such pain be denied?
The millions dead,
And those with parts still dying,
Because of fear and hate.
