Humanity
The most flighty of nature’s creatures,
In act, soul, word and deed,
Changing shape and place,
Quicker than a tree sheds its leaves.
Moving round from place to place,
Always changing features,
In an effort to stay with the crowd.
Yet one thing for these beings,
Nature would not change,
They will die someday.
In death no one will remember what color their hair was,
What they wore or how big they were,
They are identical in death.
Death is the equalizer.
Regardless whether they change appearance once or a million times,
They are mortal,
That they will always stay,
And in death they are the same
