Gold Like No Other

That summer’s day
embraced within black and white pages
from the heart of the poet
to the mind of the reader.
Above, a gold like no other
shining from the beings above.
The beam that created life.
The beam of ancient hope.
Green grass serenely growing
dancing to the song of the winds.
Each more matchless than the next
yet concealed.
A sonnet of harmony
with a legacy of greatness.
But, as life proceeds
will only dust remain?
