Day is Over
Day is over, light is past
Darkness is here, but it won’t last
Live, Compose, and then move on
Yet tarry not, for here is dawn
To travel west - forevermore
until we reach the other shore.
To flee the sun and chase the moon,
and ask of life but one great boon.
To be laconic, without grief
and learn to love a paper sheaf.
Living life outside of here:
living freely, without fear.
Yet where can I find such a place?
My journey, it now moves apace.
I stop, take out my pencil case
no longer running, I’ve quit my race.
I have my paper and my pen.
I write my world and then go in.
