Six Strings

Six strings of pure beauty,
have you heard what it creates?
The vibrant hum
of a stricken string,
sends vibrations through
its hollow body.
Run a cord right through this body,
to amplify the sound.
It becomes an axe,
fierce and loud,
but it’s always sure
to please the crowd.
On the other hand,
just keep it simple.
A hollow piece of wood
strung tightly
will produce the most melodic notes.
A clean, smooth tone
with each fret pushed,
can accompany beautiful lyrics.
