Eternity
If I could see the sun again,
then I might think it worth the pain,
of staying in the dark and cold,
until I wither and grow old.
The ice around a frozen heart,
does nothing more than drive apart,
one who tries to give you love,,
as though they've come from up above.
But simple words can mean so much,
almost the same as a caressing touch.
The things I'd never mean to you,
are all revealed when you are through,
with what you called a love for me,
you lied when you said "eternity"...
