Dream Catcher
Ordinarily I keep my conscious mind closed
My hands are always tied behind my back
Each eye closed shut from reality
What I have are vivid
The scratch of a monster
Possession of a beast
A demon swooping in to feast
They can make me scream
Oh, those terrifying dreams
The sound of my screaming shames
Sometimes I see even the Hogwarts train
My past sneaks back
The train forcing me onto that unwanted track
A tear as I wake
The uncontrollable shakes
Then I will myself asleep again and keep dreaming
I can feel the touch of a friend
A kiss of a lover
The smell of the rain
The remembrance of being loved
A flicker of your face
Your cool breath against my hair
The forgetting of what brought me there
With you, my eyes are closed shut from dark fantasies
The weave of a thread keeping me from drowning
A bead of my heart in constant warmth
The thought of you gliding down the feathers
A sense of unity bound in leather
All senses of negativity seem surreal
You catch my dreams and make them real
