They Cry
He cries as he witnesses death,
He cries as the desire of coming home takes over,
He cries with the wet rain dripping down his gear,
He cries as the love and care for his wife comes to mind,
He cries as his courage and bravery slowly slips away.
He cries as bombs explode around his crashed helicopter,
He cries as the thought of survival slowly becomes out of reach.
She cries as her love walks away,
She cries as her hope for happiness fades,
She cries as sadness and sorrow approach,
She cries as her strength leaves her,
She cries as her suffering catches up with her,
She cries as her weaknesses take over,
She cries as her husband leaves.
