Sadness fills my eyes,
Sadness fills my eyes,
The perfection of distress.
Waiting for so long,
hoping not to miss
A glimpse of something,
A chance at nothing,
Someone to know
And trust.
Sadness fills my eyes,
The epitome of bliss.
Waiting for so long,
holding onto that kiss
Of forever in his eyes,
Of tomorrow with blue skies.
Of hope, and joy, and even sorrow;
But always a tomorrow.
Sadness fills my eyes
At the thought of all that's there;
But isn't there at all.
