I am from Mexico
From the mexican culture
From my cousins and ancestors
And from my friends and my enemies
I am from the trees and the shadows
that make it cold to see
I am from the tacos, tortas, and quesadillas
of mexican style
Also from going to "El Panteon"
when a family member passes away
From the playas and rios that follow through
From where the chirping birds
sing on the trees
In a sunny morning
From where I was born that is called
Mexico
