Poor Billy
The familiar sight of the big, yellow, bus
Had the power to bring any child to tears
But mothers welcomed with a single fuss
Walking to his seat Billy faced many sneers
In the bus driver no comfort did he find
Going to school was one of his greatest fears
All the mean kids drove Billy out of his mind
Sometimes Billy wished he could never be found
A friend in someone Billy could never find
Before school bullies chose him to surround
With no one to be this poor boy’s saving grace
He made himself take the pain without a sound
One of the bullies had brought along some mace
But without the courage to fight those guys
The painful pepper spray went into his face
Against an enemy a hero should rise
But to him, out of evil these boys were made
So when the time comes the hero in him dies
In a sea of depression Billy did wade
Until he gave up and just started to drown
For a way out of this torture Billy prayed
To many these boys were nothing more than clowns
To Billy these boys were death without dying
And this all made him want to do more than frown
He couldn’t tell his mom what these boys were trying
To make him feel without a care on this earth
So about school Billy continued lying
He now doubted his nonexistent worth
He often wondered about his dreadful life
Every time these boys shoved him onto the hearth
In the middle of the kitchen with a knife
Billy chose something he could never change
He decided to put an end to the strife
Although many might think his choice was strange
No one offered to help this innocent boy
So he is not the one who is truly deranged
