I'm afraid of the night
Of what it makes me
Vulnerable. Exposed. Weak
The stars faint glow is not enough
I feel no comfort
On this vast plain I am alone
The winds blow softly
Winds whisper false alarm
A howl from the wolf
Comes from the dark
Unknown things lurk
I am afraid of the night
