The sun sets over distant horizons
Soon night will be upon us
As the waves crash down on the shore
I can sense the darkness coming
Everything will be still, calm, and peaceful
The sound of the ocean moving soothes me
It creates a rhythm in me that I can feel in my soul
In beats to the movement of my heart
It’s like a song that flows within me
It’s the music that calms my soul
The waves crashing around my body
Give me a place of my own
Where my body and soul become one
Where I can live to my own beat, away from everyone
As the sun sets and its darkness consumes me
In the blackness of night my mind becomes refreshed
When night comes soon the cycle will come again
