Tiny Dancer

Early in the day my pencil
dances across the paper
like a tiny ballerina on a stage
A tiny bird begins to appear
singing his sweet song for the tiny dancer
The dancer stops to rest
as the tiny bird waits, looking up at me
The dancer continues her dance
and the bird begins to sing once more
They perform for me
as a dancer would for her king
The dancer is doing so well
Then suddenly she falls
And comes crashing down against the paper
The tiny bird stops its song, and soon,
It disappears
