The girl that sits and waits
There’s a girl that sits and waits
For someone there to
Change the fates
*
She looks around and upside down
But all she sees
Is this small town
*
No one sees her hidden pain
The kind that lasts
Throughout the rain
*
Her scars don’t show on either hand
She covers them
With a dark red band
*
She tries to hide what’s killing her,
The pain and scars
She can’t conquer
*
She’s wants so bad to see the light
But something’s got her
Dazed with fright
*
The hurt that lies within her soul
Has changed her heart
And left a hole
*
The days they end in misery
The nights just
Wake her angrily
*
She can’t break free
Can’t dare to be
Who she wants to be
*
Finally someone sees
And tells her friends
And family
*
She tried her best to fit in
And then one day
He walked in
*
Changed her life from there on out
And now there’s not
A single doubt
*
Fighting hard to stay alive
With him she knows
She can survive
*
In just a few more years time
She’ll grow up
And she’ll be fine
*
No longer does she sit and wait, the girl
Knows that
She’s his whole world.
