Butterflies
Everyday it feels like you're waiting,
To put a smile on my face,
And you plan to keep it there the rest of the day,
You look at me and I giggle,
In my throat I feel a little tickle,
And then i finally say,
You, you give me butterflies,
When you hold my hand even when you say goodbye,
And I, I never want to leave you behind,
Because when we say our goodbyes,
I still have the butterflies.
They grow their wings,
They start to change,
Hey we're going through the same thing,
We are becoming our own,
Getting ready to fly,
Just like those dang gone butterflies.
