I stood in the cold, in the dark, in the moonlight, just thinking of you, feeling layer by cell layer, the cold slowly seeping into me; it would come in waves, each wave seeping in deeper than the one before, each newly converted cell stiffen, let go and settle, turn to granite; I close my eyes, relish the cold on my face, the refreshing, nothingness it brings; the frost forming in the newly fallen tear upon my cheek; I close my eyes, feel the ice, crystals flowing through my veins, down my arms, to the very ends of my fingertips, I feel the frost bite at my toes, then numbness comes and I sleep, in the cold, in the darkness, in the moonlight, just thinking of you...
