Broken Soul

How can you mend a broken soul?
I was once asked, I answered
"I'm not sure."
I've only had my heart broken,
Never my soul
I thought deeply about the question
What I came up with is that
A broken soul is a loss of all hope
And love for yourself you once had.
I was almost there once
But I caught myself.
I couldn't let pain and hurt
Take over me.
My soul has cried many times,
But I never have I had
A Broken Soul.
