I was walking in the shade,
Covered all in shadows.
You took away the darkness,
And brought out all the light.
I was locked up in a room,
On a dark and moonless night.
You brought to me my candle,
With the flame that still shines bright.
When winter came,
And the winds blew strong.
We felt like God,
Had done us wrong.
You were there you kept me warm,
During the night that was so long.
