The fire burns high and bright
It keeps the men safe and warm
Orange and red shadows all around
Smoke fills the air with clouds of grey

It keeps the men safe and warm
Protecting them from sleepless beasts
Smoke fills the air with clouds of grey
Unknowingly, they sleep, slowly dying

Protecting them from sleepless beasts
Who rule the night with an iron grasp
Unknowingly, they sleep, slowly dying
From a creature of their own making

Who rules the night with an iron grasp?
Not the men with their soft hides, hunted
From a creature of their own making
No physical form, but a deadly breath

Not the men with their soft hides, hunted
But it’s the air itself that they inhale
With no physical form, but a deadly breath
They slowly fade away

It’s the air itself that they inhale
Orange and red shadows all around
They slowly fade away
And the fire burns high and bright

Wow. This was really cool. I LOVED your description. I could picture the fire perfectly. I thought that was SO COOL when you repeated the lines like that, and it turned out very nicely! I love how it's like going in a circle while reading this. Great job!
