Mechanical Love Poem
Once I’ve fixed myself
I will generate more steam than
the sun and like
politicians
speaking more promises than I can keep
Once I find that wrench I promise to
collect my maimed parts
remind me on Monday so I can
bring out the trash
Once this hammer wrestles this nail in
I will
turn around and around again
counting all the times I’ve written
my serial number over
yesterday it was B575575
I was in a haiku mood
but today I am D723410
Once the tape runs out and I won’t fall apart
I’ll run my heart over all wrapped up to your doorstep
press the highlighted button and hide as the
ring echoes through your house
