Ian
Golden adonis
killer smile
words spoken
hearts stop.
Silent secret
you'd never know
how much it meant
for you to show,
a kind hand,
an open heart,
perceptive mind,
for your part
To pay attention
when i speak
i'm not worth notice
I'm just a geek.
Do you remember
that summer day?
A conversation
no price to pay
a lot of laughs
at a swim meet
a hug given
teddy bear sweet.
But back at school
all thoughts gone
no one knows
it's been so long.
And now you smile...
but not at me
it makes me mad
i got to sleep;
and i dream
of better days
we are friends
and it's okay
that that is it
no more no less
a friend, companion
no longer stressed.
No words spoken
about that day
it's forgotten
but there's
a price to pay.
