Looking down the road
In which she watched
As he walked away
He left her with nothing
But the single distant memory
She stands there
In the same place she stood before
Waiting for him to return to her
She will not let a tear fall
She will not give up hope
She knows he will return
But for now
She stands and waits
In the same place she stood before
Standing there all alone.
