Like Gypsies
like gypsies
we have wandered
away from each other
to distant lands,
remote weathers,
strange hearts
lying to others,
fooling ourselves,
drinking til our eyes fogged,
numb and desolate,
broken
like gypsies
we have wandered
towards each other
again
disastasfied with life's
absurdities,
disappointed in ourselves
and
we are whole again,
plotting kisses on a graph,
stringing love along a melody,
splattering smiles upon a canvas
together we know how to laugh
together we know how to live
