Night Terrors

Trapped in a cage; no air it seems
nothing but the darkness seems to cling
no voice, no laughter, and no breath
just the blood and the smell of future death.
Then you begin to pass into a world of terror
things that happened in the past bringing a new era
you try to shut him out but you can't
twirling and swirling in a land that's so faint.
But you wake up, in a gasp for air
looking around frantically but no one's there.
It's morning and a start of another day
but when the darkness hits, the man awaits.
