Sitting Alone
Sitting alone, going through memories,
Turning through them like pages in a book.
Her heart twists with the pain that each memory of his face brings.
Trying to keep a hold on her sanity,
She fights to shove away the memories from her thoughts.
But the memories fight back, and they are stronger.
They hiss in her ear, the memories that she tried to locked away,
And she loses all control.
Her sanity escapes its cage and takes flight,
Leaving her screaming.
Her heart fades away, leaving a deep, bleeding pit.
And as she bleeds out on the floor with her last breath she whispers,
"I'll always love you."
