Here I Stand
I. Here I stand”
Bright and clear
a portal to worlds---a potential
that none will fear.
II. The possibilities mount
the tension arises
on what to do with
this great piece of pulp
the sheer number of possibilities
it makes one gulp!
III. With this thin little sheet
and a few pints of ink
one can create
a world without a kink.
You can make the world perfect
eliminate all sin and vice
but alas, this is impossible---we are not perfect
lightening never strikes twice.
But put the pen to the paper
and you will roll the dice
to create that perfect world
of whatever your imagination unfurls.
