Goodbye Sun
We look up at the sky
To watch the end of day
Beyond the horizon
Where the sun will lay
The clouds a light purple
The sun radiates its gold
And though the sun will go
We will not become cold
Farwell we wish to say
To shout the news aloud
The beauty overcomes
Mother Nature sure is proud
And when the sun has left
Gone from this place
We still gaze at the moon
Where it hangs in space
And we do feel a longing
A missing piece inside
Where the sun once was
Before it went to hide
The night is where we live
In the breath of a star
But we will wait for tomorrow
The sun is never too far
And so the wind will rush
And whisper in the night
It will say goodbye
But tomorrow there will be light
