The sun comes up, the battle begins,
The sun comes up, the battle begins,
Though it never is clear who really wins.
The light will fight all the morn long,
Just to fall back again by the end of our song.
And the night will tease,
Showing itself nowhere at the midday breeze.
The struggle that comes, after the light reigns supreme,
Will come to an end when I dream my first dream.
This is no opinion, only documented fact,
You cannot question, no matter how much ignorance you lack,
So remember this, my friends, when your eye gets that gleam,
And you finally feel like you reign supreme:
Remember that the world you claim to have on your back,
Will always at the end just fade to black.
