Painted
There was a time when a paintbrush stroked
And I followed you with my eyes
This bright red filled my view
It was as sinful as you
Reaching me into you
It stroked again and all I saw was green
It cleared my sight, my fear
My eyes saw you near
For I saw your will as I peered
Into the small abyss of your canvas
As blue drowned my mind
All of you I couldn’t find
And as it washed away what I had left
You were washed away with death
And I glanced at you once more
