Sleepless
I leave a crease in the sheets
Tossing and turning unable to sleep
You’re image is frozen in my mind
Making it impossible for me to see anything else
I can’t help but wonder what would’ve been
If anything had been different
Those years echo inside of me
I can’t ease them from my mind
My eyes search the dark for the answers
The clock reads 2 a.m. and I want to sleep
To forget about all my mistakes for now
But it doesn’t matter, it doesn’t help
You were the one, but I couldn’t see it
In all of those moments, it passed me by
Now I’m laying awake sleepless without you
and wishing you were by my side
