The Moon's Handshake
When I met the moon
Day was by my side,
In warm water rapids
In sun baths and scattered seashells.
Oh what happened
To the glistening glimmer;
The shiny streaks of hair
The coldness swept over me,
Well the stars must have stared.
I found an aching that poured right through me—
Seeped in like golden honey sap
Like misty waves drenched in salty,
Grainy particles.
And came out the other side,
Following my mind;
My mind.
